Sunday 21st June 2009 saw the BeMobile Cup Rugby League Competition, sponsored by Papua New Guinea's mobile phone carrier BeMobile kicking in various cities and towns of Papua New Guinea. In Port Moresby, the opening match was played between the two Port Moresby based teams namely Masta Mak Rangers and NCDC CIVPAC Vipers.
